\t\t\t\tAfter the formation of the Prince George G.C. in 1925 and the opening of clubs in Quesnel and Williams Lake in 1930 the Northern Golf Association formed in 1934. The Cariboo open Championship was held from 1934 – 1966. The zone system came into effect in 1965 causing the demise of the Northern Golf Association.<\/p>\n

The Caribou Open \u00a0was rejuvenated at 108 Ranch Golf Course in 1972. The tournament operated as a professional event attracting many of the Canadian Tour professionals.<\/p>\n
